20 Years of Lord of Life

Lord of Life's first worship was held on January 15, 1989 at Wasco School. We will be celebrating the 20th Anniversary of that worship on Saturday, January 17 with a dinner and program. To R.S.V.P for the dinner visit www.lolchurch.net. The culmination of the anniversary celebration will take place during worship services on January 18 and 25.

An anniversary is a time to look back and also a time to look forward. But no matter which direction we look, let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the Author and Perfector of our faith.

We look back, we see many changes that have taken place. We no longer use a horse trailer to set up for worship on Sunday morning. We have moved from Wasco School to the facility at the corner of LaFox Rd and Rt 38 to an even bigger facility at the corner of LaFox Rd and Rt 38. We have seen pastors, staff, and church members come and go.

When we look ahead, we can count on change as well. I can only imagine what it will be like for the 40th anniversary of the church.

But one thing does not change. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. And this is his church, a church that is committed to the great commandment (to love him with all our heart) and the great commission (to make disciples of all nations).

As we move forever forward we are committed to connecting people with Jesus and with each other. Because we know that his promises are certain and do not change. In him we find our hope and salvation – and that is what it is all about.

Happy Birthday Lord of Life!

Although from different places, but this perception is consistent, which is relatively rare point!
