I returned from the men's retreat this past weekend incredibly inspired and incredibly tired. It is now Thursday and I am just now returning to sorts.
I know that I am not alone. There were more than a few men who returned with the flu or a cold. There was so much invested into this weekend and it took and amazing amount of energy to bring it all together. But it was all worth it.
I sense that this is the way it will be in the near future at Lord of Life Church. God is moving in incredible ways. So many exciting things are happening.
This weekend we will gather to worship an incredible God who is mighty to move mountains, who raises the dead, who walks on the water, and who turns the hardest of sinners to faith. The best part is that we get to take part in his work.
As we move forward into the future, it will take a lot of energy. There is much work to be done. And there will be times where we become tired. But there is an amazing promise from God that he will renew our strength for the task. Read Isaiah 40:28-31:
Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.

He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.
Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.
