Another year. Same result. Ecclesiastes tells us that there is nothing new under the sun. In my lifetime the Chicago Cubs have played in seven playoff series. They have won only one of those seven series.
They were swept in 1998 and 2007 in three straight games. Worse yet, they lost three in a row in 1984 and in 2003 when they were only one game away from advancing to the World Series. I will not be surprised if this will be the 5th time in 2008 that they will loose three in a row on their way out of the playoffs.
It is sad. Very sad! What a waste of time following this team.
